I’m a sucker for “aviation” candy
December 15th, 2008. Filed under: Just for Laughs.My Mother and I are in NYC for a few days and we’re walking by Dylan’s Candy Bar. She wants to go in and get some hard candy for my Dad. Ok. Let’s go see what they have. She goes her way and I go mine… to the vintage candy section. I round up a bunch of classic candy that I love and then cash out.
When we get back to the hotel, we show off what we bought to each other. I show her my Chick-o-Stick, Necco Wafers, and Sky Bar. I’m waxing poetic how I love the chocolate bar and how you never know what filling, caramel, vanilla nougat, peanut butter or fudge you’ll get with each bite.
She laughs and says “Yeah. SKY bar. Of course Mr. Pilot. That’s why you like it.”
That cracked me up. Never crossed my (conscious) mind. Hmmm… I wonder how the Nestle Aero bars taste? (LOL)
